Cleaning and maintenance of the boots (tutorial)

The best way to always have perfect boots is to clean them regularly

Boot cleaning is not only a matter of aesthetics but also, and more importantly, of performance and durability.
The horse’s sweat, the sand of the stables, the dust and dirt of a stable put our boot to the test. An unkempt boot, besides being ugly to look at, cracks easily and, as it is ruined, its life is shortened.
Ideally, we take care of it every time we take it off after using it. Let’s see together what steps to take to always have a clean, comfortable and long-lasting boot.

Puliamo la suola con una spazzola a setole dure per rimuovere residui di polvere e fango.

Sulla pelle dello stivale passiamo delicatamente una spazzola a setole morbide inumidita nell’acqua. Puliamo bene le pieghe e le cuciture, soprattutto nella parte dello stivale a contatto con il fianco del cavallo.

Per una pulizia migliore della pelle , possiamo utilizzare il latte detergente, lo stesso che si usa per la pulizia del viso. Rimuove a fondo le impurità e nutre la pelle. Usiamo un panno e movimenti circolari.

Asciughiamo con un panno morbido, lontano dalle fonti di calore e dal sole diretto.

L’inserto in Close-Tex ( materiale hi-tech ) sul lato interno del gambale e sul copri-zip va pulito solo con una spugnetta inumidita e sapone di Marsiglia, si raccomanda di non usare altri prodotti.

Applichiamo una crema a base di cera d’api naturale , nelle parti con abrasioni evidenti possiamo usare una crema colorata, nera o marrone a seconda del colore degli stivali.

Usiamo una spazzolina morbida o un panno sempre con movimenti circolari.

Una volta asciugata la crema, lucidiamo gli stivali con un panno di lana.

La maggior parte delle rotture delle zip è causata da peli, polvere e sporcizia insinuati tra i denti delle guide: rimuoviamo con cura eventuali residui di peli, polvere e sporcizia con l’uso di pinzette e spazzole.

Per una migliore scorrevolezza del cursore sui dentini, possiamo utilizzare uno spray siliconico o la grafite della punta della matita.
